Vibroacoustic
Low-frequency sound converted into physical vibration and delivered through the bed by direct contact. Sound you feel rather than hear — the modality guests describe first.
Electromagnetic
A pulsed magnetic field generated by a coil inside the full-body mat. Silent, invisible, and passes through the body without heating it.
Infrared
Radiant warmth delivered directly to the body rather than heating the room. One bed, one appointment, three modalities.
How it actually works
The mechanics, plainly stated.
Vibroacoustic Resonance
A conventional speaker pushes sound into the air. A transducer converts the same audio signal into mechanical vibration and transmits it into the body through direct contact — no air gap, almost no loss. Below roughly 120 Hz, sound stops being something you only hear and becomes something you physically feel, conducted through muscle, bone and connective tissue. The published research concentrates on the 30 to 120 Hz band, with 40 Hz the single most studied frequency.
Pulsed Electromagnetic Field
A copper coil inside the mat carries a pulsing current, generating a pulsing magnetic field. Faraday’s law of induction states that a magnetic field changing over time induces an electrical field in any nearby conductor — and human tissue, full of water and electrolytes, is a conductor. The field passes through skin, muscle and bone without being absorbed as heat or light. This is not fringe technology: the FDA cleared the first PEMF bone growth stimulator in 1979, following research published in Science in 1974, and PEMF devices remain in clinical use today.
Radiant Infrared
Infrared is radiant heat, the same mechanism by which sunlight feels warm on skin on a cold day. Energy transfers by radiation rather than convection, so the guest experiences gentle warmth while the room stays comfortable — no ventilation, no plumbing, no dedicated heated room.
Sound. Magnetism. Warmth. That is the entire list.
Nothing enters the body. No needle, no injection, no substance, no medication, nothing ingested and nothing applied to the skin.
The guest stays fully clothed and simply lies down. No undressing, no practitioner touching them.
No recovery, no downtime. Guests stand up and carry on with their day immediately.
Well tolerated in the literature. Across published studies on low-frequency vibroacoustic stimulation, sessions were well tolerated with no serious adverse effects reported.
Who should check with a doctor first: anyone with a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, anyone who is pregnant, and anyone managing a medical condition. Our attendants ask every guest before the session begins.
